Install Solution // Sloped Sites
Sloped Sites
A cantilevered steel shell turns an unbuildable slope into a resort-grade lap pool — engineered footings, zero excavation of the hillside.
The brief
A steep, falling block is where a conventional in-ground pool turns into an excavation problem — retaining walls, engineering headaches and a budget that climbs with the gradient. This site dropped sharply away from the house, leaving no level ground to work with.

The engineering
Rather than fight the slope, we work with it. The steel shell is craned onto engineered footings and cantilevers out over the fall of the land, so the waterline sits level with the deck while the ground drops away beneath. The same structure that lets a shipping container stack nine-high at sea is what holds the pool in mid-air — no bulk excavation, no massive retaining walls.
- Site worksEngineered footings only — no bulk dig
- ShellEngineered steel hull, marine-grade coating
- DeliveryCraned in complete — one truck, one crane, one day
- Warranty10-year structural warranty on every shell
The result
A floating edge set against the view — the kind of dramatic waterline that is simply impossible to achieve by digging in. Usable outdoor living on a block that was written off as too steep for a pool.
